How We Work
A simple, transparent process for adding embedded engineers to your startup team.
How We Work
A Clear Path From Pressure to Progress
Staff augmentation can feel fuzzy from the outside. We keep it simple, transparent, and fast so you can stay in control while increasing your delivery velocity.
Best for seed–Series B startups and PE-backed teams under delivery pressure.
The 5-Step Process
1. Discovery Call
We start with a short conversation to understand what you need to deliver and what constraints you're operating under.
- Your product, stage, and current team
- The outcomes you need in the next 3–6 months
- Stack, workflow, and constraints (time zones, budget, etc.)
If we're not a fit, we'll tell you quickly.
2. Match & Proposal
We recommend the right engineer profile(s) and engagement model for your stage and runway.
- Engineer(s) or pod composition
- Start plan, timeline, and expectations
- Co-develop onboarding documentation
- Clear monthly cost and ramp plan
You keep control of scope and priorities.
3. Onboarding & Integration
Our engineers plug into your existing workflow, usually within 1–2 weeks, and start contributing from day one.
- Repo/tool access + onboarding notes
- Standups and key recurring meetings
- Code standards, review flow, and release practices
The goal: feel like part of your team, not an external add-on.
4. Delivery & Iteration
We work in tight feedback loops so delivery stays aligned as your roadmap evolves.
- Weekly (or more frequent) check-ins
- Progress tracking against defined outcomes
- Clear visibility into what's in progress and what's shipped
5. Scale, Shift, or Pause
As your startup changes, your engineering capacity should be able to change with it.
- Scale up for launches, customer commitments, or investor milestones
- Shift engineers as priorities change
- Scale down when full-time hires make more sense
Our goal is to leave you in a stronger position than when we started.

Access & Context
Repo access, key docs, and enough product context to avoid churn.
A Working Cadence
Standups + a lightweight weekly checkpoint so priorities stay aligned.
Fast Feedback
Quick answers and timely reviews so momentum doesn't stall.
Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly can an engineer start?
Many engagements can onboard within 1–2 weeks. If you have a fixed deadline, we'll tell you quickly what's realistic.
Will we lose control of architecture and priorities?
No. This is embedded augmentation. Your team owns the roadmap; our engineers execute inside your workflow and standards.
What if priorities change mid-engagement?
That's expected at this stage. We use tight feedback loops so we can pivot with you without losing weeks to re-alignment.
Can we scale up or down?
Yes. This model is built for flexibility. We'll right-size based on runway, milestones, and where added capacity helps most.
Want to walk through your roadmap?
We'll help you decide if augmentation is the right move and what a successful engagement should look like for your stage.
